This is growth

“ After a while, you learn the subtle difference between
holding a hand and changing a soul.
You begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts
and presents aren’t promises.
And you start to accept your defeats with your head
up and your eyes open. You learn to build all your roads
on today because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain.
After a while, you learn that even sunshine burns
if you get too much.
So plant your own garden and decorate your own soul
instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
You learn that you really can endure, that you really are strong,
and you really do have worth.
You learn that with every goodbye, there’s a hello.
Take chances.
Tell the truth.
Date someone totally wrong for you. Say no.
Spend all your cash. Fall in love. Be random.
Say I love you. Cry. Apologize.
Tell someone how much they mean to you.
Drink until the bottle’s empty. Sing out loud.
Tell an asshole how you feel. Let someone know what they’re missing.
Laugh until your stomach hurts. Live Life. "

Lifted up on humanity

"I was once like you - lost and afraid.
But then someone held out a hand to me and pulled
me out of the darkness.
A word.
A breath.
A smile.
It only takes something small.
A connection.
I was once very small and so very daunted.
But I grew - up and older.
And I changed.
Now I know that there will always be a
buffer for me. Something to stop me dropping all
the way down the deep, dark well.
If I look for it, if I truly place myself in the
hands of humanity then I am lifted.
I used to be just like you until I opened my eyes."

A new dawning, a day of hope.

"In one moment my world changed.
That's how it felt.
I didnt see that underneath the surface that change had
been a gradual thing spreading undetected for weeks now.
It took me so long to notice it.
But once I did it swept through me like a hurricane.
I realised that everything we had was gone.
And I felt no pain. No tears.
Just acceptance.
Like a vast forest with no trees.
I saw the sun and it was shining.
Life was returning.
There was new growth on the ground.
Hope was alive."

The seed

With every seed there are infinite possibilities.
There is so much that life has to offer, pursue it!
Every new day you have the chance to make things better.
You are only guaranteed the very breath you just took, nothing more.
So make the most of every moment you are blessed with.
