So I sold my first item on etsy! Sooooo exciting!!! I will be updating my shop with a new range of artwork very soon! I am debating whether to include framing or just leave them as unframed originals. Any thoughts?
Thanks to everyone for the support!!

More creation updates!!

This one was made for one of my besties! I hope she likes it :) I'm trying some new patterned felt for a change and it is adding an extra element that I dig. I'm also quite into the shiny string I bought to sew with. My babooshka owey project has turned out so much better than I thought! I just have to add another coat of varnish and then I'll update you all with pics. Stoked!

babooshka owleys

Ok so I have almost finished work on one of my creative projects this weekend - I call them 'babooshka owleys'. When they have all dried and I add a coat or two of lacquer I'll know if it has worked.
Thought you might like to see some action/unfinished shots. I was inspired by a set that Emily did over at the black apple . She really is something special! I'll let you know how mine end up.

Feel the difference

Oh the things I would do if I had my own place.
I LOVE the textures so much and I want to make my own artwork set. Too cool!

Another arty find
Well, as promised I am posting again about art.
I found My Charlie Girl's page a while ago, and have since been following her work (and was honoured to see that she has been following me also!). She has such a beautiful loose and free style and each of her artworks seem to have a spirit and life to them, which is lovely to see. Hop on to her page for info about where Bec is showing her lovely pieces and see below for where you can purchase some prints and work online. I must make it along to see her work in the flesh very soon!

Amount of fun = 12x12
I was lucky enough to go along to another opening night of a new exhibition at No Vacancy Gallery in QV. This one naturally also featured my fave artist of the moment, ghostpatrol.
The unexpectedly extra awesome thing about this exhibition was that the work he featured was my fave stuff - the pencil art!!! Such as this one featured below....
Up until now the only place I'd seen these was on the internet, so this was my first chance to get up close and really examine them. When you do, you realise just how much work has gone into it. And yes, they ARE real pencils!!
Such incredible art!! I also noticed one of the dolls ghostpatrol also makes on the table.
I was too scared to ask how much it was or if it was for sale because I didnt want to officially crush my
dreams of owning one.

It was just way too cute.
