To say the unsaid

but what we are unable to say."

Above all things..

"My mother is the best person I know.

She is so full of knowledge and wisdom,

compassion and laughter,

joy and integrity,

encouragement and acceptance and so many other wonderful qualities.

She is always there to offer advice and guidance and

doesnt say 'i told you so' when i do the opposite.

She has always been someone to look up to and I aspire to become

as wonderful a person as she is.

I hope someday to be the kind of mother she is too."

Doubt is a trouble

“There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt.
Doubt separates people.
It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up
pleasant relations.
It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills.”
- Buddha.

Integrity and conviction

"Before you can inspire with emotion, you must be swamped
with it yourself. Before you can move their tears,
your own must flow.
To convince them, you must yourself believe."
-Winston Churchill

the holiness of silence

"We sit silently and watch the world around us.
This has taken a lifetime to learn.
It seems only the old are able to sit next to one another
and not say anything and still feel content.
The young, brash and impatient, must always
break the silence. It is a waste, for silence is pure
. Silence is holy. It draws people together because
only those who are comfortable with each other
can sit without speaking. This is the great paradox."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)

A promise is nothing without the follow through

“Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can
disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side
of everything and make your optimism come true.
Think only of the best, work only for the best and
expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that
you have no time to criticize others.
Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side
as long as you are true to the best that is in you!”
-Christian D. Larson
"Every great dream begins with a dreamer.
Always remember, you have within you the strength,
the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars
to change the world.”
— Harriet Tubman
“We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we give.”
— Sir Winston Churchill

Quoting fave books

"There are many facets to leading a happy life.
It begins by understanding the true and legitimate sources
of happiness. The Art of Happiness is based on a few basic premises:
1.The purpose of life is happiness.
2.Happiness is determined more by the state of one’s mind
than by one’s external conditions, circumstances, or events—
at least once one’s basic survival needs are met.
3.Happiness can be achieved through the systematic training
of our hearts and minds, through reshaping our
attitudes and outlook.
4.The key to happiness is in our own hands."
"So many people walk around with a meaningless life.
They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things
they think are important. This is because they're chasing
the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life
is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to
your community around you, and devote yourself to creating
something that gives you purpose and meaning."
-Morrie Schwartz, 'Tuesdays with Morrie'
"Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons and daughters
of the earth. We did not weave the web of lif .
We are merely a strand in it.
What we do with the web, we do to ourselves..."

Be gentle with your heart

"You came to me last night,

and you asked me how I am doing.

I told you that I am fine.

Then you said 'no, i dont want to

hear the socially acceptable answer,

i dont want to hear what you say to

make everyone else feel comfortable. I

want to know how you are REALLY doing!'

That was when I knew it was a dream,

because when you were here you

never really bothered to find the answer

underneath all of that.

And maybe I never bothered to tell you."

True Peace

Life and lessons

"You should not be sorry about love. Rather, it should make you
wonder. That if you were once happy with the wrong one,
how much more when the right one comes."
.

"Sometimes, we put too much passion on the biggest
dreams and priorities in life that we fail to love
the smallest pleasures from simple things.
We search so much for the right choices.
For the right paths to walk through.
For the right time. And for the right reasons.
But life isn’t about searching for the things that
can be found. It is about letting the unexpected happen
and finding things you never searched for."
.
"This is life. People will screw you over.
You’ll fight with your family. You’ll witness things that will
change you forever. You’ll blame new lovers
for things old lovers did. You’ll lose best friends you thought
would always be there. You’ll come to realize that everyone
has a past. You’ll cry, you’ll laugh, & you’ll embarrass yourself.
But then you’ll find your very own moment where none
of that matters; where you can sit back & realize that shit
happens to people who can handle it & that this is
who you are, & that no one should want
to change you, including yourself."
.
“ Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right,
forget about the ones who don’t, and believe that everything
happens for a reason. Know a good thing when you see it,
and don’t let it slip away. If you get a chance, take it.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said it would be easy, they just said
it would be worth your while. ”
.

Look at life

“Learn to look within yourself for appreciation and acceptance
and give yourself permission to seek a better and more fulfilling
life every day. It is not in how others treat you that can make
a difference in your life, but it is in how you treat yourself.”
Unknown

“Take chances, take a lot of them. Because honestly, no matter
where you end up and with whom, it always ends up just the way
it should be. Your mistakes make you who you are. You learn and grow
with each choice you make. Everything is worth it.
Say how you feel, always. Be you, and be okay with it.”

Vulnerable is truthful

“ Being vulnerable doesn’t have to be threatening.
Just have the courage to be sincere, open and honest.
This opens the door to deeper communication all around.
It creates self-empowerment and the kind of connections
with others we all want in life. Speaking from the heart frees
us from the secrets that burden us. These secrets are what make
us sick or fearful. Speaking truth helps you get clarity on your real
heart directives. ”
— Sara Paddison

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone.
Close the door on the past. You don’t try to forget the mistakes,
but you don’t dwell on it. You don’t let it have any of your energy,
or any of your time, or any of your space."
-Johnny Cash

Moments

“The truth is, life is rarely exactly the way we want
it to be, and other people often don’t act as we
would like them to. Moment to moment, there are
aspects of life that we like and others that we don’t.
There are always going to be people who disagree
with you, people who do things differently, and things
that don’t work out. If you fight against the principle of life,
you’ll spend most of your life fighting battles.”
Richard Carlson
